Initial Ideas (with reflection)

·        General idea: Office/school group teambuilding trip, monster horror/comedy -           Monster in the lake/woods or whatever kills the teambuilding leader and the group have to handle the situation. More simple: breakdown or lost on the way to teambuilding trip -           Twist ending where the monster was never real and the whole thing was a teambuilding exercise ·        Characters -           Eccentric teambuilding leader who “dies” -           2 groups of 3? 2 sets of pairs? -           Teacher? ·        Monster: -           Land based -           Not able to see much of it ·        Specific ideas -           Shots from angles as if they are from hidden cameras- because the company is watching them the whole time, but the audience still doesn’t know Act 1: -           The group arrives at the teambuilding facility, meet Dale and find out about the first exercise which is orienteering -           Dale takes them to a clearing which is far away f

Props, Cast, Costume

Cast: Caroline: Honey Gawn-Hopkins Emma- Hattie Millard Dale- Clemmie Thompson Finding actors for Caroline and Emma was relatively easy as the characters are meant to be teenage girls. I chose Hattie and Honey because they are my friends as well as being good actors. They are also in my Film Studies class so I knew they would have a certain understanding of my project and the way that filming was going to work.  For Dale, I settled on Clemmie because I thought it would be easier than trying to find an adult man willing to play the role. Whilst Dale was originally cast as a man I don't have any issue with changing the gender as I don't feel that it was an important element of the character. Clemmie was also willing and able to do an Australian accent for Dale which was an element that I wanted to include for maximum comedic effect.  Props: The story of my film made sourcing props quite easy. Because the death is set-up I was able to get away with using shoddy props such as ketc

SCENE 1: EXT. ENTRANCE TO THE WOODS- DAY Caroline and Emma stand at the entrance gate of the woods. CAROLINE (V.O.) It didn’t make sense that I be there. I mean Emma got detention all the time but there I was. At that point, I wasn’t scared. I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong. It wasn’t fun. It made me look notorious. Dale, a teambuilding supervisor approaches. DALE You guys are here for the outdoor bonding session, right? CAROLINE It’s detention. DALE I was told outdoor bonding session. Your teacher was very specific, this is not a punishment but merely an opportunity for you two to work through your differences. Okay, register. You know the drill when your name is called just say yes. Caroline? Shot of the railings of the fence. Caroline steps into shot and stands facing the camera as if she is in a prison line-up. CAROLINE Here. DALE Emma? Emma steps into shot and stands next to Caroline, facing the camera in the same way. EMMA Here.   DALE
